American wedding ceremonies have a great variety. Some American couples prefer theme weddings.
Theme wedding ceremonies are different from the usual church weddings. Wedding themes can be as diversified as: animal, insect, bird, fish, celestial, cultural or religious, floral, historical, holiday, romantic (perhaps the most appropriate for a wedding), beach, sports, seasonal or outdoors or any other distinctive preference of the couple.
Whatever is the theme of the wedding, invitations, decorations, wedding cake, wedding banquet and cocktails are usually the indispensable parts of any wedding.
American weddings have all the grandeur and festivity associated with weddings worldwide. Invitation cards are sometimes very traditional; sometimes they are custom made with unique embellishments.
If the wedding is held in a church, then the booking of the church and other legal details are looked into much before the wedding. No wedding is ever complete without decorations.
Apart from ornaments, flowers play an important role in the decorations. Roses, lilies, daisies are the favorites for decorations. Of course, indoor flower arrangements and outdoor flower arrangements differ to some extent
Some couples prefer a very traditional wedding ceremony with the bride in pearls and white and veil, bridesmaids, assortment of near and dear ones and a traditional wedding spread.
However, with the passage of time, such homage to tradition has become rare, personal touch of the family has given way to highly professional wedding planners.
Theme weddings definitely need wedding planners. Who else will deal with masses of weird themes that seem to be the order of the day? Different places in America have their own local wedding traditions, Las Vegas being one of them.
