Long Lost Love Poems

Love is the universal feeling. Love is the goal that everyone seeks and a prize that can make every life whole and complete. It is often believed that love is true and can only be found but at times this love can also be lost. Love often changes at times and so does the pain that love brings. Love often does not die in violent explosions. The death of love can be a silent one. Long lost love poems express the true feeling when love is lost and one is left feeling alone. So express love with these long lost love poems and make your day a truly special one.

By Nancy Sue Krenrich Hamm

I’ve Loved You For So Long
Why can’t you ever love me
when I’ve loved you for so long?
Perhaps you could just try to see
that maybe I belong.
I might bring smiles to fill your days,
and words to fit your songs.
If only you would come and stay.
I’ve loved you for so long.
Vainly, you search elsewhere to find
the love you ever seek.
Touch and take this love of mine,
a love that’s yours to keep.

Apart
By Shadow Of Light

When we're apart
I feel empty and lost
Like a part of me is missing
Like a strong gust has blown you away
As if a chisel chipped you out

I want to be where you are
As close as I can be to you
Holding your hand as I once did
Running along in the summer

I wish we were still together
"Together forever" you used to say
But it has all changed

No more "I love you’d"
Or "Call me latter’s"
No more "Come on cover’s"
Or "Let's meet at the movies"

When we were together
We used to have so much fun
But I guess that's over now
Over
Never again
Together forever.
