Break Up Poems

Whether it is called off by you or your partner, break up has always been the toughest decision we make in our lives. Breaking up with someone we love always brings some other emotions like shock, disbelief, relinquishment, chaos, guilt, anger, an eager search for a relief other than sorrow. But dealing with the pain is never easy; neither is easy to heal the broken hearts. Sometimes, we find relief in another person while sometimes we devote our time in our daily chores. But the throngs of a break up haunt us even if we are in a relationship with another person or become the busiest person in the world.

While break ups make us aware of the world and of human nature, the breakup poems are meant for those, who are just broken up from a relationship. These poems contain all the deepest thoughts, which a broken heart can ever feel. Through these verses they can relate with their emotions. Moreover, the heart break poems actually allow the sadness and pangs of the broken hearts to flow out. Even though these poems deal with a sad theme, but they certainly have a positive note, which can help the heart broken person to move ahead and at the same time inspire them to maintain a positive attitude for rest of the life.

There is probably none, who does not get the taste of a break up. Break up poems are great tool to express your heart. Among the eminent poets, who have written verses on break ups, William Shakespeare is the pioneer one. The subject matter of the poems about break ups is itself sad, but that does not mean that they should be typically sad poems. Heart break poems can also be funny ones, if you can add your personal humor to them. To make a break up poem funny, you just have to ensure that the things which you did not like about your ex-partner should be incorporated in the poem. For an instance, if you do not like his/her commanding nature, write in a couple of lines that you are not missing him/her commands and thoroughly enjoying these days of freedom. But the tone must be satirical. You also can make the poem rhyme, so that it offers a child-like appeal, which is itself very funny. But don't forget to add a pinch of your sense of humor in them.

Of course, the impact of a break up can differ according to the age and the maturity level of a person. For most of the teens, handing a break up is next to impossible while for most of the adults, break ups are just a phase of life. Teens start their lives from this age and parting away from a person, whom they love, is not an easy task. But adults have more maturity and experience as they have learnt how to cope up with break ups since their teenage. So the break up poetry should incorporate the feelings of the person concerned. And it depends on your attitude towards life and how you can handle the whole situation.
