Launched in 1987 by Atle Brynestad, Seabourn Cruise Line falls under the category of small ultra-luxury cruises. There are three Seabourn mega yachts, which are: Seabourn Legend, Seabourn Pride and Seabourn Spirit. In 2009 and 2010, Seabourn is expected to launch two more deluxe vessels whose names are still under the wraps. Seabourn Cruise Line is the other name of elegance on the sea.
Let’s take a tour of the cabins of Seabourn’s three small luxurious ships. The three identical vessels of Seabourn Cruise Line were all built during 1980s and 1990s, each weighing 10,000 tons. In these three ships all the cabins are ocean-facing and 36 suites in each ship have step-out French balconies in the Riviera-style with sliding glass doors thereby providing outstanding panoramas of the azure sea and the hanging sky.
All the standard suites in these three vessels stretch for 277 sq. ft. Seabourn Legend’s ultra-luxurious all-suite vessel has the capacity to house 104 couples. Those suites that don’t have a balcony possess large picture windows that present lovely ocean views. Each of the Seabourn Legend cabins feature a twin-to-queen beds topped with fluffy duvets and pillows, a walk-in closet, designer toiletries, TV, cocktail tables, marble bathroom with shower/tub, mini bar, champagne upon arrival wishing you Bon Voyage, individualized stationary, hairdryers, slippers and terry cloth bathrobes.
Now, let’s peruse through the cabins of Seabourn Pride and Seabourn Spirit and see what’s there that provides utmost satisfaction and comfort. All cabins are suites that mostly offer the outstanding ocean views through its large picture windows. The six larger classic suites and owner’s suites possess small private balconies that offer the perfect nook to relax and stare at the ocean. All the suites are at least furnished with a small cuddling couch, coffee-cum-dining table, flat-screen TV with DVD and CD players, a small walk-in closet, spacious marbled bathroom with two basins and shower/tub, a complimentary mini-bar, lighted dressing table, hairdryer, British-branded Molton Brown toiletries, slippers and terry robes, individualized stationary, a Bon Voyage champagne bottle, a mini-bar and twin-to-queen beds with duvet covers. The owner suites also have a dining room and a ladies make-up room called as the powder room. Though the décor is simple, there are other perks which are especially appealing. You have chocolates that are left at turn down service coupled with roses or rose petals and many other surprises as well.
