Valentines Day is celebrated worldwide on 14th February. This day is associated with love and romance and therefore on this day lovers express their love for each other. The film, While You Were Sleeping was released in the year 1995 and has been directed by John Turtletaub. Lucy (Sandra Bullock) is a Chicago subway employee whose life consists of living with her cat and avoiding her landlord's boorish son. She has a secret crush on Peter Callaghan (Peter Callahgher), who passes her by every day. Working on Christmas Day, Lucy witnesses Peter being mugged and being pushed off the platform. Lucy manages to save his life and admits him to a hospital.

Peter goes into coma and the nurse tells Peter's family that Lucy is Peter's fiancée. Lucy falls short of courage to tell Peter's family the truth and is duly embraced by Peter's family members. Peter regains consciousness and everybody assumes that he is suffering from amnesia Peter's girlfriend returns from the European trip
and in the meantime Lucy has fallen in love with Peter's brother Jack Callaghan ( Bill Pullman). Lucy tells the truth about his feelings for Jack to Peter and Saul (Jack Warden), who is Jack's Godfather. Peter's family makes arrangements for a wedding for Lucy and Peter; at the last moment Lucy confesses about her true love and gets engaged to Jack.
