Potato Cutlets

Potato Cutlets can be really yummy, easy to make, filling and light on the pocket. For a quick Valentine's Day fare nothing can be compared to the potato cutlets. Potato cutlets are surprisingly easy make and all the ingredients that are required to make the cutlets are found in all kitchens. So this Valentine's Day, surprise your beloved with mouthwatering potato cutlets. Follow the recipe from My Dear Valentine.

Ingredients:
One boiled and mashed potato
One finely chopped onion
Two tablespoonful rice (soaked for half an hour)
Half cup grated coconut
2 garlic pods
2 red chillies
1 teaspoonful jeera
2 green chillies
Salt to taste and oil for frying



Method:

Grind together soaked and washed rice, garlic pods, jeera, red chillies with a little water into a smooth semi solid paste. Then mix the mashed potato with the chopped onion, chopped green chillies, salt, grated coconut and the ground masalas. Mix thoroughly. Put a frying pan on medium high flame and heat oil. Then take lemon sized balls of the potato mixture and flatten it and then shallow fry it on both sides till golden brown.

Serve with chutneys or sauces as per your choice.
