Peanut Butter Cake

INGREDIENTS:
1 3/4 cups sifted cake flour
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup sugar
2 tablespoons shortening
3 tablespoons creamy peanut butter
2 squares unsweetened chocolate, melted
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla



PREPARATION:
Measure and sieve flour and add soda, salt, and sugar; sieve them into a mixture almost thrice. Scramble shortening and peanut butter in a mixing bowl until they have blended firmly; now add melted chocolate and blend it well with the rest of the mixture. Add sieved dry ingredients with milk and vanilla. Blend them all of them are well mixed and are moist; beat the mixture for 1 minute. Grease two 8-inch layer cake pans; line the bottom of the cake pans with waxed paper and grease again. Spread the mixture into those prepared cake pans. Now bake at 350° for almost 25 minutes or until a wooden pick or cake tester inserted in center comes out clean (until it has settled firmly). Finally serve with other chocolaty and sugary items for decorations.
