Clam Stuffed Mushroom Caps

Celebration of love is never complete without gourmet food. Many couples in love with each other are equally dedicated gastronomes and so the special day is celebrated over special cuisine. For lovers of mushrooms, clam stuffed mushroom caps are hard to resist. They are quite simple to make without much complications and can be made with common ingredients. My Dear Valentine is presenting the recipe of clam stuffed mushroom caps for you. Enjoy!

8 large mushrooms (scrubbed clean)
Italian bread crumbs (1/2 cup)
Canned clams (drained, chopped, 1/4 cup)
Parmesan cheese (1/4 cup)

Garlic (minced, 2 cloves)
Olive oil (1 tbls)
Salt (1/2 tsp)
Black pepper (1/4 tbs)
Olive oil or melted butter (for brushing)



Method:

Remove stems from mushrooms, set aside the caps and chop stems.
Mix all ingredients, except mushroom caps.
Spoon the mixture into mushroom caps.

Arrange mushrooms with filling side up in shallow baking dish.
Brush each mushroom with olive oil or melted butter.
Bake in a 350 degree oven for 25 minutes.
