Blue Cheese and Walnuts Appetizers

Valentine's Day calls for exotic appetizers. Couples in love spend hours over their cozy meal and it is only natural that a special meal of a special day should have special bill of fare.

Blue Cheese and Walnut appetizer is one of the most popular appetizers on Valentine's Day. My Dear Valentine is presenting an exiting blue cheese and walnut appetizer for you to make and enjoy!

Ingredients:

1 c walnuts
1 c crumbled blue cheese
1 egg beaten with 1 tb water

Method:

Chop 1 cup of walnuts (depending on the size of brie you need to cover) and stir in 1 cup crumbled blue cheese. Press onto the top of the brie and carefully wrap a sheet of thawed puff pastry dough after rolling out the size needed. Use fingers wet with cold water to seal underside of pastry.



Cut off excess to make cut-outs and adhere to top of brie with a little cold water. Brush egg wash (1 egg beaten with one tbsp cold water) and bake on a cookie sheet covered with baking parchment in a 375 degree oven for about 20 minutes until golden. (Parchment makes it simple to transfer brie to serving dish.).Allow it to stand for 20 or 30 minutes before serving.
