Valentine Heart Crown
Materials Required:
- A paper plate
- Red and/or pink construction paper
- Paint, markers, or crayons
- Scissors
- Glue
- Glitter (optional)
Procedure:
- Cut a slit through the center of the paper plate, leaving about an inch at the edges of the plate. Cut three more slits.
- Bend the triangles formed by the cuts upwards, forming the crown shape.
- Paint the crown red or pink (or use markers or crayons to color it). Allow the paint to dry
- Glue hearts to the Valentine crown.
- Decorate the crown with glitter (optional)
Valentine Barrettes
Materials Required:
- Plain Barrettes
- Seasonal colored ribbon or yarn
- Craft glue
- Special buttons or beads
- Lace, to add a bow
Procedure:
- Wrap the ribbon or yarn around the barrettes. Glue the ends well.
- Sew a special button or bead onto the barrette.
- Take a long piece of lace and tie it into a bow, then attach to the barrette with glue (optional).
- You can string beads onto the ribbon as you wrap or can make bows or attach hanging ribbons with beads on them (this step is optional).
