The Frenchmen have the reputation of being the most sensitive lovers in the world, but the Spanish men know how to woo their beloved and win their hearts with no less surety. Valentine's Day in Spain is very elaborate. The men and women take much care to express their love for each other and the day is spent reveling in their love and happiness.

The big cities of Spain like Barcelona seems transformed on the Valentine's Day, it seems that love with its multicolored hues is blossoming everywhere. It is a delight to go through the roadside make shift flower and gift stalls.

Valentine's Day in Spain gives much emphasis on the Valentine presents. It is the usual practice of the husbands to gift their wives bunches of flowers and unmarried couples exchange other gifts. The most common gifts to be given on this day are roses to the girls from their sweethearts and books to the men from their girls. Couples, whether married or unmarried are at their amorous best.
