The main reason behind the popularity of loverboy was love. Their albums and compilations focused on love, attractions, feelings, and romance. South Park's early episode was based on an elephant making love to a pig.
Romance was represented in a different way. The rock got united with the contemporary rockers like Bryan Adams and Bon Jovi. Brian MacLeod was a friend and a fellow recording artist who was fighting against cancer. For him, the reunion would raise money. So, they reunited. The Loverboy compilations are famous even today.
