Mother Love Poems
Mother love poems can be expressed for mother's day or for any occasion. Mother is the person who has been with us through thick and thin and mother love poems can best express the deepest feelings by thanking her for all she has done. Mother love poems remind of the lovely moments spent from childhood like holding hands together, reciting nursery rhymes, playing games, making delicious recipes and the times of growing up together. There may be times when one may be far away from mother and miss the days of fun with her and mother love cards can beautifully express these feelings that come straight from the heart.
A MOTHER'S LOVEBy Helen Steiner Rice
A Mother's love is something
that no on can explain,
It is made of deep devotion
and of sacrifice and pain,
It is endless and unselfish
and enduring come what may
For nothing can destroy it
or take that love away . . .
It is patient and forgiving
when all others are forsaking,
And it never fails or falters
even though the heart is breaking . . .
It believes beyond believing
when the world around condemns,
And it glows with all the beauty
of the rarest, brightest gems . . .
It is far beyond defining,
it defies all explanation,
And it still remains a secret
like the mysteries of creation . . .
A many splendoured miracle
man cannot understand
And another wondrous evidence
of God's tender guiding hand.
To Mother
Mother You filled my days with rainbow lights,
fairytales and sweet dream nights,
a kiss to wipe away my tears,
Gingerbread to ease my fears.
You gave the gift of life to me,
and then in love, you set me free.
I thank you for your tender care,
for deep warm hugs and being there.
I hope that when you think of me,
a part of you, you'll always see.
A Mother's Love Determines How
By Barry Taylor
A mother's love determines how
we love others and ourselves.
There is no sky we'll ever see
not lit by that first love.
Stripped of love, the universe
would drive us mad with pain;
but we are born into a world
that greets our cries with joy.
How much I owe you for the kiss
that told me who I was!
The greatest gift--a love of life--
Lay laughing in your eyes.
Because of you my world still has
the soft grace of your smile;
and every wind of fortune bears
the scent of your caress.
For All That You Have Given Me
By J. Marques
For all that you have given me,
I can return but love. For you
bound up the wounds I did not see
and gave me hopes and passions new.
I can return but love for you,
whose unmoved faith my heart did move,
and gave me hopes and passions new,
And loved me till I turned to love.
Whose unmoved faith did my heart move?
The mother of my heart, not blood,
who loved me till I turned to love.
And I became the soul I would.
The mother of my heart, not blood,
Bound ups the wounds I did not see.
And I became the soul I would
for all that you have given me.
Poems About Mother's Love For Son
You Let Me Know You Love Me:
By Joanna Fuchs
You let me know you love me
in so many different ways.
You make me feel important
with encouragement and praise.
You're always there when I need you
to comfort and to care.
I know I'm in your thoughts;
your love follows me everywhere.
Thank you for all you've done
And given so generously.
I love you, my wonderful mother;
you're a heaven-sent blessing to me.
