Valentine's Day is celebrated all over the world on 14th February. On this day, lovers express their love for each other in various ways. Inspiration for love comes from many sources, love stories being one of them. Love stories tell us about the eternal and universal character of love. Inu Yasha and Kagome Love Story is a unique love story and has an appeal of its own.
InuYasha is a Japanese shonen (a Japanese word that adverts to animation) adventure romantic comedy manga (a Japanese word for comics and print cartoons) created by Rumiko Takahashi and Kagome is a fictional character in this fictional manga.
The story takes place in Tokyo . On her fifteenth birthday Kagome, approaches a covered well to get back her cat. As she comes near the well a centipede demon gets hold of her and Kagome finds herself in the Sengoku period of Japan. |

After she gets placed in the Sengoku period, a maiden named Kaede finds out that Kagome looks exactly like Kaede’s elder sister.
That very night, the village gets attacked by the centipede, Kagome out of fear runs away to the forest where Inu Yasha was pinned against a tree by Kikyo, the maiden’s elder sister as Inu Yasha tried to robe her off the Jewel of the Four Souls. The villagers try to defeat the centipede but fails. The jewel of the Four Souls falls from the wounds of Kagome, after the centipede bites Kagome. The centipede eats the Jewel of the Four souls. Kaede realises that Kagome is the re-incarnation of Kikyo, as the Jewel of the Four Souls got burned along with Kikyo’s body, after Kikyo’s death, fifty years ago. Inu Yasha asks Kagome to remove the arrow, so that Inu Yasha can kill the centipede and get back the Jewel. Kagome listens to Inu Yasha, but he wants to keep the jewel, as the jewel has the power to grant the wish of its owner after InuYasha recovers it.
When Kaede sees Inu Yasha proceeding towards Kagome, to get hold of the Jewel, Kaede summons the rosary beads that Inu Yasha has wore around his neck, so that InuYasha falls on the ground, whenever Kaede calls out his name.
The very next day, a crow attacks the Jewel and after getting it, swallows it. Kagome and Inu Yasha together try to get back the Jewel . In order to get the Jewel Back, Kagome shots an arrow and the arrows strikes the Jewel and therefore the Jewel gets scattered across Japan and also in other parts of the world.
Kagome and Inu Yasha sets on a journey to recover the Jewel and this journey helps Kagome and Inu Yasha to develop a strong relationship with each other.
