Catherine Zeta Jones And Michael Douglas are one of the most important power couples of Hollywood. Douglas divorced his wife of 23 years, Diandra, so that he could get married to Jones. Both of them are established in Hollywood with many awards and accolades in their kitty. Jones is very proud of her Welsh background. She was born in a moderate locality of Swansea and discovered quite early that acting was what she wanted to do in her life.

Jones did not finish school, instead she undertook a three year acting course in Chiswick. Many small roles in innumerable films did not give Jones the foot hold which was required to make a mark in Hollywood.But with films like The Phantom, The Mask of Zorro, Entrapment, Chicago and Traffic, Catherine Zeta Jones arrived. Jones gave a superlative performance as Velma Kelly in Chicago. She won an Academy Award for this role.

Michael Douglas was part of Streets of San Francisco from 1972 to 1976. He took his first step towards stardom with the lead role in Romancing the Stone. The film was released in 1984 and was a moderate success. In 1985, a sequel of this film was made, tilted The Jewel of The Nile. However Douglas gained widespread reputation with the lead role in Fatal Attraction. Here he portrayed the character of Dan who indulged in one night stand with another woman. Though he thought that he can leave this indiscretion behind him, the woman simply refused to let go and displayed symptoms of Borderline Personality Disorder. Dan's family was stalked and ultimately, the woman who was fatally attracted was killed. Basic Instinct and Traffic gave Douglas the exposure which is every actor's dream.

Catherine Zeta Jones and Michael Douglas met where else, but on the movie sets. Jones was single then without any serious affairs. It was instant connection and they started dating. Courtship was full of love and expensive cars and diamonds. Douglas has the reputation for being a hard drinker and womanizer. He divorced his wife and married Jones in 2000 (Nov 18). Before marriage Jones insisted on a prenuptial agreement. The couple has two children, one son and a daughter. They are still together and Jones is absolutely firm about her children imbibing Welsh culture. Despite his marital problems in his previous marriage, the couple is still together and My Dear Valentine hopes that they remain that way.
