Peach faced love birds are the most common species of love birds to be kept in captivity or rather as pets. They are small in size compared to other parrots and are very social. The social and friendly nature of these birds makes it mandatory to have them in pairs, though it is possible to have a well trained hand reared single bird as pet. They are fond of their human masters and bond well with them. The birds require a lot of play things for they thrive in an active environment.
Peach faced love birds live best in roomy cages. There should be enough space for them to fly around and the cage must be littered with toys as these birds love playing with toys.
