The Halloween story
The story of Halloween is itself an interesting one. Halloween finds its origin in the ancient France where a particular community called Celts celebrated the Samhain on November 1 which they regarded as their New Year. During this celebration, the crops were burnt and there would be huge bonfires. In the night of October 31, they believed that the dead would return and create havoc. However, the Day was later declared as the All Saints day. In mid 20th century, the Halloween celebration was revived in a new mode. People came to the streets with masks, danced in colorful costumes, and traditional families still did everything to wade off the evil spirits. Custom parties developed among the younger generation and Halloween party games and great gourmet was introduced. Halloween pictures were available online and children found it as exciting as Christmas celebrations.
Types of Halloween stories
As children love to hear folklores, the Halloween folk stories seem to be popular among them. They revolve around the theme of death, ghost, and spirits. There is little or no fantasies involved in them. When it is scaring, it is even more interesting! The children Halloween short stories are made more popular my remaking them into movies. The children movies like ‘Winnie the Pooh' series are the adventures that you will find in the books. The added charm of the visual effects last in the innocent minds forever. The intermingling of the funny Halloween stories and the scary Halloween stories can only be found both in the movies and the story books. But not all horror Halloween stories are scary ones. They can be funny at times as well.
There are Halloween stories that are psychological thrillers as well. They have both murder, mystery of the human minds, and the evil human spirit combines in them.
