In many countries, the International Friendship Day is celebrated on the first day in August. In 1935 the U.S Congress, announced this day to be a holiday in honor of friends in the United States. Since then, this day has become a Hallmark Holiday, as the card as well as the gift industry flourishes on the basis of this occasion.
The celebration of International Friendship Day varies from place to place. Let your friends know that you truly are grateful to them by greeting them on International Friendship Day in a unique and special way.
The relationship of friendship is not only restricted to your classmates and colleagues, as friendship can exist between siblings, between a parent and a child, between a teacher and a student, between a grandparent and a grandchild and among many other people who are related to one another in some way or the other.
