70’s vintage fashion

If the word punk fashion can classify the era of 60’s fashion it is the classiness of the 70’s vintage clothing styles which made 70’s fashion to stand apart amidst crowd. Colors ruled the 70s vintage fashion concept which made fashion in the early of 1970 lot more pulsating. Punk style was still there only it was little hued in the dye of 70s denims and disco style. Bell bottom and those hip huggers, paddle pushers with those tie and dye denims made 70’s vintage fashion lot more contemporary. Neck ties, dinner bows, stiff collars and pointed collars dominated the male fashion of the 70s while laces, frills, long sleeves and skirts made 70’s fashion a perfect harmonization of tradition and contemporaneousness.

While females preferred to wear those frilled miniskirts for evening outs the males preferred to stick to their three piece suit which was definitely one of the elementary base of the 70’s vintage fashion.

Romance and aphrodisiacal blend made 70’s vintage fashion lot jazzier where colors like pink, turquoise, cherry, wine and purple played the wonder. By mid 70s with the introduction of the disco culture 70’s vintage fashion witnessed a marked change in its mainstream.

Hemlines dropped to form that ideal mini skirts, “silhouettes narrowed” and evolved the style of those platform heels for both man and woman. Whilst stilettos were still the “in thing” yet those two – four inches thick platform heels worn with jeans, denims, bell bottoms and paddle pusher became the classical style of 70’s vintage fashion. Off shoulder necklines, embroidered outfits, and elegant silks from Mexico and India made 70s vintage fashion a bit unconventional. Colors did play a major role at this time as the influence of color were even seen in men’s ties and in those high rise colorful vests. While mid 70’s was still reflecting the aura of the late 60’s wobbly garments it is at the latter part of 1970 which gave rise to the concept of body hugging blouses, bare straps tops and high heels to add that pulse to an energetic disco dance.
