The 1960s was an age of pop movement, rock music, space age and nationalist movements. It was an age when people wanted to prove themselves as modern individuals and slowly started becoming fashion conscious. People started concentrating on status and life style- an age when television and refrigerators were no longer considered as luxury. This definitely had a profound impression on the 60’s Designs.
Floral prints were a very integral part of the 60’s Designs. Floral prints were practically used in every thing- dresses, curtains, wall paper, towels, upholsteries, table cloth and carpets. Floral Designs of 60’s became an important fashion statement. One would notice society belles at tea parties dressed in dainty evening dresses with floral prints.
