His association with Tim Burton resulted in films like Edward Scissorhands, Ed Wood, Sleepy Hollow, Corpse Bride. But instant global recognition came with Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl.
His portrayal of the character Jack Sparrow was heavily influenced by Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards. His most recent film Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest has broken box office records within days of its release.
