Friendship is a beautiful feeling between two individuals irrespective of age, caste, creed or anything else. Friends can make your life much easier and smooth however few poisonous or toxic friends may do the reverse.

They are enough to drag you inside the pits and make your life nothing better than a hell. Hence you need to understand the several types of such friends and should know how to deal with them tactfully.

If you are unable to do so, you might land in deep trouble in future. Go through and you will get some valuable tips for the same.

The Faultfinder: As the name suggests, they figure out your faults and expose them either in front of you or even others. They are your worst critics because they have a critical outlook towards everything that you do or say. If one of your friends is alike, you must learn to ignore their criticism. Take the comments lightly and sometimes even crack jokes on them. Never let that affect you in any way.

Types Of Toxic Friends And How You Can Deal With Them

The controller: This person acts more like a boss than a friend. Not many people can accept the domineering nature especially when it comes to friendship. If things are going above the head, then you may cut the friendship off and let him know the reason. Do the same if you wish to keep the relationship and tell the person to change it if he/she wishes to remain friends.

The Copy Cat: Imitation has a different name nowadays; people call them “being inspired”. If you have a friend who remains with you only to copy what you do or wear, it is better you keep things to yourself only, when you are hanging around together. Do not share much important information and keep the conversations light and general.

The Double-Crosser: This person cannot be called a friend as worst enemies are better than these. They spread lies about you and even sometimes backstab you by going after your love life. It is advisable to abstain from these people as they are even more toxic than harmful viruses. Once you figure out the double crossing nature, let this person know that he/she is unaccepted and thus end the friendship on a sweet note. The more you keep him/her in your life, the worse it for your life.

The abuser: There are friends who physically or verbally abuse you, especially in public. Friends can be jovial but they can’t demean anyone through speech or actions. If you have a person in your life similar to this character, do something regarding that. Either ask him/her to change the behavior or you change him/her within no time.

The Leech: There are some people who call you as you friend but treat you like a lender of staff like money or other commodities. Things become worse when it becomes a one sided affair and he/she always borrows things from you and never gives you anything in return. Avoid these people as they might one day suck your blood as well. Jokes apart, it is not a very intelligent idea to keep such a person in life. Cut the friendship as soon as possible for a better life.
