How to Act on a Casual Date
When you get the proposal for a casual date, it may make you happy but at the same time you may feel somewhat cautious about creating an impression on the other person. It can also happen when you ask someone you like for a date and he or she agrees to it.
The period before the date is full of anticipation and you may plan elaborately to ensure everything goes right. However, do not let your worries and nervousness get the better of you and try to be comfortable when you go out for date.
Avoid going over the top for a casual date
There is no need to put on a very expensive suite or wear an exotic perfume when you go for a causal date. Anything garish and excessive will not leave the right impression on the man or woman you plan to meet. This is applicable for people from various age groups. Try to wear clothes that you know you can carry on well and use fitting accessories like watch and bracelets, if any. Women should avoid any hairdo that needs usage of many accessories. Similarly, guys can avoid using much gel or hair styling material. However, carrying an umbrella is prudent if it is a monsoon date and you do not want your attire to get spoilt.
Choose a suitable venue for the date
The venue remains an important part for success of a casual date for sure. If the venue has not been pre decided and you have the choice of selecting it, choose wisely. Based on the season and timing of the date, you can pick from various options. Riverside restaurants or parks remain a good choice if you want to meet with the man or woman during afternoon. For evening rendezvous, a serene restaurant away from the clutter of city would be a good choice. If possible, find out information on restaurant or place where you want to take the person, especially if you are going there for the first time.
Stick to safer food choices
On a casual date, it is wise not to choose anything unusual or something you have not tried for food. You may end up ordering an exotic or rare dish that the other person is allergic to. It would be a good idea to learn from him or her about food preferences, albeit indirectly when you interact. The same thing can be said about beverages. Some people prefer specific drinks while for some others, alcohol does not suit the bill. If you smoke, it is always advisable that you ask the other person if he or she has any problem with it.
Mind your etiquettes when you go on date
It would be a good idea to keep distractions and its possibilities to a minimum level even when you go for a casual date. Keeping your mobile on silent mode is prudent. Even when you get really important calls, make the conversations brief. Try to be punctual and reach the venue a few minutes before time.
